One of the gifts I received for my birthday last September was a Douglas gift card. I always love those cards and this time I decided to go for these two limited edition Mineralize Eye Shadows from MAC.
These MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows are part of the Après Chic collection. They both contain 2.2g/0.07oz and are available online for €21,00 or $21,00. According to MAC these ‘baked minerals refined into a powder formula provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application. Colour builds lightly, layer after layer, without heavy coverage’.
Let’s start with Winter Pursuit, a copper color with grey veining. When I use my finger to try the color the pay off is nice. The pigmentation seems fine and it’s a beautiful sparkly eye shadow. When I use this color on my eye I notice a bit of fall out and the color pay off is not that great. Applying several layers or using a wet brush increases the intensity of the color.
The second color is called Fireside and is a deep plum with grey veining. The silver glow in this eye shadow makes it the most special color of the two. Sadly, his is also not the easiest color to work with. I know MAC says it ‘builds lightly’ but I do prefer eye shadows with a great pigmentation. However, after practicing a bit, this is a nice color to incorporate in a look.
Have you tried any of the MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows?
